Mayo Clinic Opens Branch in Second Life

The world-famous, Rochester, Minnesota-based hospital system has a new location accessible from anywhere in the world–just don’t expect to get any blood work done there, yet.   The Mayo Clinic’s latest branch is located in Second Life (SLurl) and it’s just another sign that people are continuing to find value in virtual worlds.  This story came out in the Minneapolis Star Tribune last week, detailing how the Clinic plans to use its location for outreach and conferences.
